The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Katsina Sub-Region and Imcomtel Engineering Limited have conducted a joint inspection of the Katsina 330/132/33kV Transmission Substation Project ahead of its next major installation phase. The inspection, which took place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, was led by the Assistant General Manager (Transmission), Katsina Sub-Region, Engr. Usman Idris, who received the Imcomtel delegation headed by Engr. Emmanuel Okafor. The team inspected various sections of the substation, including ongoing civil works, equipment locations and supporting infrastructure, to ascertain readiness for the next phase of the project. The Federal Government has intensified efforts to restore full motorability on the critical Bida–Lapa–Lambata and Maje–Dikko road corridors in Niger State. This as the  Minister of State for Works, Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, inspected the projects and while also directing contractors to accelerate remedial, palliative and permanent works. The inspection, which took place on Thursday, 24 September 2026, formed part of the Federal Ministry of Works’ sustained monitoring of critical road projects across the country, particularly inherited projects requiring urgent intervention to improve road safety, ease traffic movement and enhance connectivity. The Federal Government has called for strengthened collaboration among government institutions, communities, development partners, the private sector and other stakeholders to accelerate efforts towards the elimination of rabies in Nigeria. The call was made on Friday, 25 September 2026, during activities to commemorate the 2026 World Rabies Day, with the theme: “Stronger Together: Ending Rabies in Nigeria.
