The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing gender-responsive dairy policies and interventions aimed at expanding opportunities for women and youth while accelerating the transformation of Nigeria’s dairy industry. EID-EL-KABIR CELEBRATION: FG Slashes Train Fare For Commuters

1n the spirit of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Transportation has approved a 50% fare discount on all train services operated by the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC)  This is also as part of measures to ease transportation costs for Nigerians during the festive period. The discount which took effect from Tuesday, May 26, 2026 and will run through Monday, June 1, 2026, was disclosed on 26th May, 2026 by the Permanent Secretary, Federal  Ministry of Transportation, Engr. Funsho Adebiyi. According to him, ticket fares on all NRC passenger train services across the country have been reduced by 50% of the existing approved rates within the stated period. Umahi Orders Reopening Of Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Road For Eid Travel

  The  Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has directed the contractor handling the Abuja–Kaduna-Kano Road project, Infiouest Nigeria Limited to immediately open all sections of the road to ease the movement of commuters traveling during the Eid al-Adha festive period and ensure safer and smoother journeys. The Minister is aware of the earlier accident that occurred along the road, which has now been completely cleared. Security agencies have also been deployed to strategic points along the road to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of road users throughout the festive season.
