Northern Youths Back Gov Mohammed, Say He’s A Bridge Builder

As political gladiators prepare to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari after his tenure in 2023, their political foot soldiers have resumed campaign and media publicity for their political mentors ahead of the time.

A  group of youths known as the Concerned Citizens of Like Minds who are mostly from the north, at a press conference held in Kaduna over the weekend, have pitched their tent with the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed as the right man to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari.

The group who described him as a bridge builder said they decided to pitch their tent with him because he has all it takes to rescue Nigeria.

According to them, "Bala Mohammed has a consuming passion and compassion to build bridges, unity and peace across the country”.

The group's spokesperson, Mujaheed Amin Modibo, while addressing the press, stated that his group had assessed most of the key personalities that have what it takes to lead the country and found Bala worthy.

In his words "We found the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala A Mohammed as the man who fits the definition of that position in terms of political sagacity, leadership achievements, followership, competence, capacity, influence, credibility and acceptance".

Going by his rich experience in leadership service, he has demonstrated competence in leadership at the grassroots and as a politician, he is always expanding the scope of youths and women participatory in governance.

“We hereby pass a vote of confidence and endorsement on Sen. Bala Mohammed for President 2023 because his reputation speaks for him especially now that Nigeria needs a man with exceptional qualities to steer its ship from collapsing into the ocean of abyss – God forbid. The group stated.

In another development geared towards 2023, Independent sources have hinted that plans have almost been concluded by the APC leadership to woo former Nigeria's, President, Goodluck Jonathan to join the party and contest for President, come 2023.

Sources revealed that the battle of who becomes the running mate to Goodluck Jonathan has become rife as both the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami and the present governor of Yobe state and Caretaker committee national chairman of APC,  Mai Bala Bunu are all jostling to be Vice President to former President Jonathan.
