APC Chairmanship Aspirant Urges Muslims, Christians To Pray For Peace During Ramadan, Lent

 An aspirant for the chairmanship position of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Engr Simon Yashim, has called on Muslims and Christians observing Ramadan and Lent respectively to embrace love, sacrifice, and fervent prayers for peace and security in the state and Nigeria at large.

He made the appeal in a  statement issued to journalists in Kaduna.

Engr Yashim noted the significance of both religious observances coinciding, describing it as a unique period that should foster deep spiritual renewal and strengthen the bond of brotherhood among citizens.

He expressed optimism that the joint fasting period would reinforce the peace and security architecture which Governor Uba Sani has been working tirelessly to achieve in Kaduna State.

The chairmanship hopeful implored adherents of both faiths to use the occasion for sober reflection and to offer prayers for leaders in authority.

He emphasized that citizens must continually support their leaders regardless of ethnic or religious considerations, adding that prayers remain essential for the success of those in leadership positions.

Yashim further expressed satisfaction with the developmental strides recorded by the present administration in Kaduna State, noting that peace has gradually returned to the state after many years of suffering and insecurity in the past.

He specifically commended Governor Uba Sani’s efforts in restoring normalcy to troubled communities across the state.

The APC aspirant appealed to Muslims and Christians to close ranks and unite in prayers for the continuous success of the current APC administration both in Kaduna State and at the national level. 

He maintained that collective prayers and support would enable the government to deliver on its mandate and improve the living conditions of citizens.

While extending his goodwill to observers of both religious periods, Yashim wished Muslims a blessed Ramadan and Christians a fulfilling Lenten season, urging all to sustain the spirit of love and sacrifice beyond the religious observances.

The call by the APC chairmanship aspirant reflects the broader need for interfaith harmony and collective responsibility in addressing the security challenges facing Kaduna State.

As political activities intensify ahead of the party’s leadership elections, Yashim’s message underscores the importance of religious tolerance and unity as essential ingredients for sustainable peace and development in the state.
