SCAM ALERT!!! NUPRC Alerts The Public Over Fraudsters Impersonating It's Chief Executive

Says 15  Various Fake Social Media Accounts Identified 


The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has issued a disclaimer, alerting the public to the activities of fraudulent individuals posing as the Commission Chief Executive, Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, on various social media platforms.

In a Press Statement signed by Eniola Akinkuotu, Head, Corporate Communications and Media of the Commission, he disclosed that, "So far, 15 of such fake accounts have been identified by the Commission on X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. 

According to him, "The matter has also been reported to the appropriate authorities.

"For the sake of clarity, the NUPRC states that Mrs. Eyesan has only one social media account which is a verified page on LinkedIn.

"The unscrupulous individuals impersonating the Commission Chief Executive with the intention of defrauding members of the public are hereby warned to desist immediately. 

"Anyone who interacts with these fake accounts does so at his or her own risk.
